Horizontal drier: Fast Dryer

Horizontal drier with high drying performances which allow it to have a very compact design, a low energy consumption (90/100 kcal) and a high production capacity. It is available in a single-layer version and in a multi-channel version with roller conveyors, suitable for drying green material, soluble salts and drawn items.

Post-cutting drier: EPT

This drier is suitable for any water-based processing technique: cutting, smoothing, chamfering, squaring on all kinds of ceramic products (porcelain stoneware, porous single-firing, etc.) and all types of marble and granite.

Fast Dryer : A drier for green material or soluble salts

Fast Dryer

  • Drying cycle shortened to 45 seconds per millimeter of tile thickness;
  • The dried product temperature is kept constant with maximum variations of 5°C;
  • The drying curve adjusts automatically, without the aid of an operator;
  • Very low bulk, about 50% less compared to other driers with the same production characteristics;
  • Low energy consumption, 90 kcal/kg;
  • Automatic changeover;
  • The set-point can be reached in 15 minutes only.

Fast Dryer offers advanced performances at a reasonable cost. It optimizes times and resources and ensures a total control on all stages by using:

  • Production charts showing the costs per lot;
  • Production losses charts stating the relevant operating costs;
  • Charts to control the humidity percentage in the material entering the drier  

Specifications:

  • Tiles are conveyed both by rollers and mesh according to the size of the product to be dried;
  • Fan equipped with inverter to optimize the desired setting;
  • A self-adjusting device fitted in the glazing line allows the line manager to set the desired material temperature without changing the drier’s settings  
  • The residual humidity ranging from zero to 0.2% is uniform all over the drier’s cross-section, regardless of the production state (full, half-full, cycle change, drier shutdown…)

Fast drying cycle

Its innovative technological concept allows Fast Dryer to dry production with very fast cycles. The drying cycle is 45” per millimeter of thickness of the product to be dried. For example, an 8 mm thick tile will require a 6 minute drying cycle. 

Lower operating costs

Fast Dryer fully controls the incoming air flows and their direct effects on production by using a state-of-the-art equipment which checks the surface temperature of each single tile, across every treatment phase and under any conditions (stand-by, in case of production losses, half-full and cycle changes…); this allows it to dry the material with a 90  kcal/kg consumption which is at least 20% less with respect to other commercially available driers.

EPT

  • Ease of use and flexibility.

EPT has been designed by TCK to meet all the above-mentioned needs. At last, a drier without compromise nor half-measures which aims at becoming an indispensable partner for those cutting, smoothing or carrying out any other water processing operation which require a thorough drying of the pieces. 

The machine has been designed, sized and built to meet production needs; its standard version shows the following specifications:

  • Steel work;
  • dimensions: 4 m long and 1.5 m wide. For high absorption products (porous single-firing, single-firing, marble ...), the machine will be bigger or drying cycles will be slower;
  • the material is conveyed through rollers, chain or mesh depending on the type of product to be dried;
  • Fan equipped with inverter to optimize the desired adjustment;
  • The material transfer is synchronized with that of the smoothing and/or cutting machines so that the latter automatically adjusts to the former.
  • The drying temperatures will be extremely reduced (they will be 50°C in granites) to avoid any damage to the material
  • Maximum energy consumption: 3.5 Nm3 / h of methane and 8 Kw/h of electricity;

Full drying of the material

Regardless of the brand being used, EPT completely removes any surface water, both in the upper and lower parts, found on the material after processing, on any type of product, with extremely low energy costs

Ultra fast drying cycle

EPT achieves the full drying of the material in a minimum time of 11” (for low absorption materials). As a result, the drier can be installed in line with the processing machines, as it adjusts to each production cycle and to any type of material to be dried with amazing flexibility.

Small in size

The standard drier’s overall dimensions are 4 m in length and 1.5 m in width. Such extremely compact design makes EPT easy to install in almost any production facility, even the smallest ones. Of course, the machine can be sized to meet any production requirement, both in terms of width (the useful mouth is up to 3000 mm) and in length, as well as in the number of drying surfaces.
